The Beast in Forest...

Been there, done it, have the T-shirt? Well, if not, we're certain that this exhilarating first-hand account of taking on the "Beast in the Forest" will add Nürburgring Nordschleife to your bucket list for sure!

It's not every day that you are going to take on a track nicknamed "The Green Hell" by Jackie Stewart, and it's not every day that you step onto the tarmac of a circuit that almost burned Niki Lauda to death on the 1st of August 1976…

So, as soon as I arrived at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, I could feel my heart racing with excitement and nervousness. The notorious track was shrouded in fog, making it difficult to see more than a few meters ahead. I could hear the sound of high-performance engines revving in the distance and knew that I was about to embark on one of the most challenging and dangerous tracks in the world.

The first few corners were a blur, as I struggled to get a sense of the track's layout and figure out the optimal racing line. The elevation changes were extreme, and I could feel the car bucking and swaying beneath me as I tried to keep it under control. The constant changes in surface, camber, and grip made it hard to get a sense of the car's limits and left me feeling like I was constantly on the edge of losing control.

As I picked up speed, the corners came at me faster and faster, and I had to rely on my instincts and reflexes to make split-second decisions. Some of the corners were completely blind, and I had to rely on the memory of previous laps to know where to turn.

The changing weather conditions only added to the difficulty. One moment, the track was dry and grippy, and the next, it was slick with rain and my car was sliding all over the place. I had to constantly adjust my driving style to suit the conditions and try to anticipate what was coming up next.

Despite the danger and difficulty, I couldn't help but feel a sense of exhilaration and excitement as I tackled each corner and pushed myself and the car to the limit. As I crossed the finish line, I was exhausted but elated, knowing that I had conquered one of the toughest tracks in the world.

Overall, the Nürburgring Nordschleife was a dramatic and challenging experience that left me with a newfound respect for the skill and courage of professional race drivers. It's a track that demands the utmost focus, skill, and bravery from anyone who dares to take it on, and I'm proud to say that I was one of them having taken on the "Beast in the Forest".
